A short redirect URL controlled by the hospital can allow the destination page to change later without reprinting the bands. The hospital remains responsible for the destination, availability and content.
Avoid Personal Data in the QR
Encode a URL rather than personal or protected health information directly in the QR code. Access controls and privacy safeguards for the destination system remain the hospital’s responsibility.
Verify Before Use
Check the printed patient details and QR destination before applying the band. Follow the facility’s approved patient-identification workflow.
Replace Unreadable Bands
Replace any damaged, incorrect or unreadable band according to hospital policy. The QR feature should not replace required clinical identity checks.

Custom patient ID bands with logo and name cost ₹5.50 per band for a minimum order of 1,000, or ₹4.25 per band for a minimum order of 5,000. GST and shipping are extra. QR requirements and final specifications are confirmed in the quotation.
Can the QR landing page be changed later?
Yes, if the QR points to a redirect URL controlled by your hospital. You can update the redirect destination without reprinting the bands. Your hospital is responsible for maintaining that URL and destination.
Should personal health information be stored in the QR code?
Okto Healthcare recommends encoding only a URL and not placing personal or protected health information directly in the QR code. The hospital is responsible for privacy, access control and data protection on the destination system.
Can the band include our hospital name and logo?
Yes. Hospital name and logo printing are included in the custom-band options, subject to artwork review and final approval.
