Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, or ABPM, records a series of blood pressure readings over 24 hours. It helps your doctor see patterns that a single clinic reading may miss, including readings during daily activity and sleep. The report can help assess suspected white-coat hypertension (higher readings in a clinic) or masked hypertension (readings that appear normal in a clinic but are higher outside it).

4. Receive the report. After the device is returned and the recording is processed, Okto shares the digital report. Review it with your treating doctor.

Comfort and safety during monitoring

Cuff inflation feels similar to a routine blood pressure check and can briefly interrupt an activity or sleep. Continue your usual activities unless your doctor advises otherwise, but avoid getting the device wet or doing activities that could damage it. Contact Okto if the cuff slips, causes significant discomfort or the device appears to stop recording.
